Another fun Carolina Pulse weekend in Wilmington NC for Halloween 2008. The highs were many and the lows were few. Mostly it was excuse for me to get out of Charlotte and let loose a little. Some naysayers would say I don't need to leave Charlotte to do that but to them I say "Come On". Halloween night was spent at the Reel and everyone dressed up. Though, some costumes were better than others. The Reel was giving away a $500.00 purse to the winner and I had my money on The Jesus. Unfortunately it turns out no one really knows who The Jesus is (educate yourself here). The undeserving winner just bought their costume but apparently my opinion doesn’t mean jack. Saturday night we were down at Goodfellas celebrating the annual get an extra hour to drink at the bar night. Normal/Boring people will recognize this as the end of daylight savings time. Not every bar celebrates this holiday and is totally dependent on the coolness of the bar. Luck for us Goodfellas is a cool bar.
Some weekend highlights included:
• The Dude Meets The Jesus.
• Marshburn falling asleep at Dixi Grill.
• The Machine plays Gay Photo Hunt, Bitch Slaps Spence, and chugs a beer for $50 (not in that order).
• I wander aimlessly around downtown while my ride yells at me to get in. I do not hear them.
